Paul puts the care of the church in the same category as being stoned, beaten with a rod, and a whip!

    • Beloved, that’s how the sharpest and most beautiful
      swords are made!!!

Clearly, you are a God who works behind the scenes, God of Israel, Savior God. Humiliated, all those others will be ashamed to show their faces in public.

Example: Joseph’s 13 years between promise and provision

    • Joseph looking back in retrospect said: You didn’t send me here, God did Gen. 45:8

So now it was not you who sent me here, but God; and He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.

What you meant for evil God meant for good – Gen. 50:20

But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.

    • You are being transformed by Jesus in ways you may not recognize!
    • Example : Wax on, Wax off from Karate Kid

Hidden signs you are being transformed

You are struggling with some sin.

    • (This is a sign of transformation!)
    • You are struggling!! This wasn’t always the case.

Paul shares his struggle:

For what I am doing, I do not understand.
For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but
what I hate, that I do.
Romans 7:15 (NKJV)

Oh wretched man that I am, who shall deliver me from this body of death? I thank my God- through Jesus Christ our Lord!

If Paul struggled, It’s OK for us to struggle!

    • You have doubts:
      • This is a sign of Transformation!
      • It means you’re trying to believe.

When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted.
Matthew 28:17 (NKJV)

Don’t let what you don’t know or understand affect what you do know.

    • You pray selfish prayers:
      • Lord, change my spouse
        Lord, I just want enough money for me and my family!
        At least you are praying!
    • You’re mad about Sunday’s message!

At least you heard the message

There’s a difference in being weak and being rebellious!

Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all.

We are all in the process of being transformed!
