Jehovah-Nissi: the Lord my banner

  • And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, When Pharaoh says to you, Prove [your authority] by a miracle, then tell Aaron, Throw your rod down before Pharaoh, that it may become a serpent. 10 So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did as the Lord had commanded; Aaron threw down his rod before Pharaoh and his servants, and it became a serpent. 11 Then Pharaoh called for the wise men [skilled in magic and divination] and the sorcerers (wizards and jugglers). And they also, these magicians of Egypt, did similar things with their enchantments and secret arts. 12 For they cast down every man his rod and they became serpents; but Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods. 13 But Pharaoh’s heart was hardened and stubborn and he would not listen to them, just as the Lord had said. 14 Then the Lord said to Moses, Pharaoh’s heart is hard and stubborn; he refuses to let the people go. 15 Go to Pharaoh in the morning; he will be going out to the water; wait for him by the river’s brink; and the rod which was turned to a serpent you shall take in your hand. 16 And say to him, The Lord, the God of the Hebrews has sent me to you, saying, Let My people go, that they may serve Me in the wilderness; and behold, heretofore you have not listened. Exodus‬ ‭17:8-16‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

  • ‬‬ 11 There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots. Isaiah 11:1 NKJV

We fight FROM victory not FOR victory.

  • 33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. ‭‭John‬ ‭16:33‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
  • For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. 11 In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, 12 buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. 13 And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, 14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. Colossians 2:9-15 NKJV
  • 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.‭‭ Ephesians‬ ‭6:12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

  • 18 If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.”‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
    • It’s not always possible! Sometime you’re gonna have to fight.  Sometimes you have to make a stand. But you’d better be in the right!
    • 15 When He had made a whip of cords, He drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changers’ money and overturned the tables. ‭‭John‬ ‭2:15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
  • 7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. ‭‭James‬ ‭4:7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
    • Submission is the key to victory.
  • 17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord. ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭54:17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
  • 24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. 26 “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: 27 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.” Matthew 7:24-27 NKJ
